COSY PARK COSY

Installed for one day in January 2007 in Lund Park, Malsis Road, Keighley, West Yorkshire
Undertaken as a pilot project for making covers for heroic statues in public spaces.
Statues , especially those erected in Victorian and late Victorian times, are usually of men who have carried out heroic deeds of derring-do. These statues are constructed by men.
Giving a statue a knitted cover, feminises the object, and also alters the perception of the space it occupies.
