SPACE SPIRAL
SITUATION LEEDS

Arial view of installation
Closed Subway Well Cnr Woodhouse Lane, Cookridge Street and Portland Crescent
for SITUATION LEEDS 14th -26th May, 2007
Installation removed on Tuesday evening 22nd May following irrepairable vandalism

A completely neglected space within Leeds. The piece was designed to draw attention to this space and to map it using the string lines. The 'empty' spaces around us are actually full of matter and lines and matter. In fact no space is empty.
The design was completely determined by the architecture of the space. This piece was unique to the Subway well at this time.
