Starry starry night
for ART IN THE WOODS, HOLMFIRTH ARTS FESTIVAL
6th June -28th June 2009

Starry, starry night
emphasises the space between the pine trees. The position makes us look
up and look again at this space rather than at the trees
The moving spirals occupy this space and give it a magical quality. The
sparkle is observable from the distance and from underneath it will make a
sparkly roof. We are reminded that
the stars are always there, whether we can see them or not
I have a fascination with
unacknowledged spaces and objects. My
work serves to emphasise (and
possibly distort) and bring these spaces to notice.
Plastic spirals suspended from a web hung 20ft in the air.
